Vacancy for an Assistant Projects Officer/Projects Officer/Project Manager dependent on experience (£18,500 - £26,000) with generous benefits package based out of our Bakewell office

Timescale: Posts are tenable with immediate effect, and subject to successful completion of a 3 month probationary period, will become permanent position thereafter.

Details: Applications are invited from highly motivated and professional individuals suited to a corporate environment with at least two years professional field experience, a full driving license and own vehicle and a valid CSCS card. If applying for one of the higher grades then the more experience in report production and checking the better, together with experience of taking projects through to completion and liaising with specialists, local authority archaeologists and clients, and for the senior post management experience. We are excited to hear from anyone who fulfils these criteria. We have a variety of projects coming on stream and are looking to recruit immediately. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals able to run field projects and undertake watching briefs, evaluation trenching, excavation work and produce high quality and timely reports.

The above opening is based at our Bakewell office set in the heart of the magnificent Peak District landscape easily commutable from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Manchester and surrounding areas of Derbyshire, Staffordshire and east Cheshire. You will be required to work away from home on occasions depending on where jobs are located, although much of the work will be office based. You must have excellent written and oral English skills together with strong IT skills and ideally have some experience in the use of CAD and/or GIS. We are looking for hard working and dependable individuals with a practical pro-business approach who can be trusted to follow instructions and deliver projects. Timescale: The post is tenable with immediate effect, and subject to successful completion of a 3 month probationary period, which will become a permanent position thereafter.

Details: Applications are invited from highly motivated and professional individuals suited to a corporate environment with at least one year’s professional field experience, a full driving license and own vehicle and a valid CSCS card. ‘Archaeological Officer’ is our early career grade, although we would be equally happy to consider applicants with higher than entry level experience. Training will be provided to support the professional development of the successful individual.

If applying for the higher grade then the more experience in report production and checking the better. We are excited to hear from anyone who fulfils these criteria. We have a variety of projects coming on stream and are looking to recruit immediately. You will have responsibility for helping to deliver a wide range of projects working out of our Manchester office where you will be accountable to the Office Manager and then the Operations Manager. Although you will be attached to this office you will be required to work elsewhere in the UK depending on where jobs are located and this will include occasional overnight stays.

You must have excellent English skills and strong IT skills and ideally have some experience in the use of CAD and/or GIS and the use of surveying instruments. We are looking for a hard working, professional and dependable individual who can be trusted to follow instructions and deliver project work.
